The Story Behind Dempsey Pet Care’s Commitment
Dempsey Pet Care began after I lost my Saint Bernard, Dempsey, and wasn’t quite ready for another dog of my own. I started caring for dogs through Rover as a way to stay connected to something I loved, drawing on my experience caring for Dempsey as well as fostering dogs and pet sitting for friends. What started as a side gig quickly grew into regular walks, daycare, and boarding clients. As I built relationships with local dogs and their owners, I realized how much I enjoyed the work and decided to turn it into my own small business, named in honor of the dog who started it all.
